Payments may be made by mail, drop box (located outside of the Municipal Building) or at the Tax Collectors’ Office located on the second floor.  Payments by mail should be addressed:

PAYMENTS AND RECEIPTS:

 

The entire bill and a self-addressed stamped envelope must accompany remittances requiring a receipt. Otherwise, it is acceptable to detach the appropriate stub to mail along with your check, and the canceled check will serve as your receipt.

 

If you make your payment at the office, please be sure to bring your entire bill with you so tit may be receipted.

 

 

PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTIONS AND EXEMPTIONS:

 

There are three deductions available, for $250 per year.  An application must be filled out for each deduction.

 

Senior Citizen

  • Age 65 or older as of December 31 of the pre-tax year
  • Maximum income of $10,000, excluding Social Security

Disabled Person

  • Permanently and totally disabled as of December 31 of the pre-tax year

Veterans and Widows of Veterans

  • Active service in time of war
  • Owner of property, citizen, and resident of New Jersey as of October 1 of the pre-tax year
  • Honorable discharge or release

TAX SALE

 

There is a Tax Sale each year for unpaid taxes, Mt. Holly MUA charges, and other municipal charges from the previous year.  Notification of the Tax Sale is published in the Burlington County Times.
